New version of ASTranslator released

Version 1.5 of ASTranslator, one of two open source projects maintained by Carbon Five, was released on SourceForge today.

ASTranslator is a utility Java API for Macromedia Flash Remoting that provides services for serializing and deserializing objects using Java Bean-style introspection.

ASTranslator has been deployed by Carbon Five on multiple Flash MX projects, including projects for Charles Schwab and Calvin Klein. It has also been downloaded and used by other project teams in the United States and internationally. It is described in detail in a recently released book entitled Architecting for Macromedia Flash MX by Steven Webster.
