Carbon Five, Inc. and Charles Schwab and Co., Inc. launched the third release of the Marketing Planning Tool (MPT), a robust J2EE and Flash MX-based web application that allows Schwab internal and external marketers to plan, implement, analyze and budget marketing campaigns.
This release of the MPT introduces integration with budgeting processes and applications within Schwab. With this integration, Schwab employees can start planning their marketing campaigns in the MPT with access to full quarterly budgeting data.
The MPT offers multiple data visualization modes in real time, including an interactive Gantt-like calendar view, a compact "at-a-glance" breakout of large amounts of spend data, and exports to Excel and XML.
The MPT also integrates with Schwab's existing financial and data warehousing systems.
The MPT is a custom web application built with J2EE (Enterprise Java) technology and Flash MX, using Caucho Resin Enterprise Edition, Microsoft SQL Server, Flash Remoting MX and Windows 2000.
