LeapFrog, 2005
LeapFrog Enterprises is an industry leader in cutting-edge learning toys. LeapFrog has experienced a growing demand for a Spanish version of their Engish US website. To date their only Spanish site was for products sold in Mexico.
Since different products are sold in each country, LeapFrog needed a site to support Spanish language products sold in the United States. In 2005, there were an estimated 21 million Hispanics online (NHTI and Dept of Commerce) and many prefer Spanish-language content.
The site would look and behave the same as the existing English language site, but with all translated content.
Their goal was to create this website that could serve as a template for building future websites with a single, easy-to-use content management system.
The site launched futhuring LeapFrog's outreach among the growing US Hispanic population.
Carbon Five developed a robust, stable Spanish language site that looks the same as the English US website.
The value provide to LeapFrog is the reuse and scalability of the system. The Spanish language US site provided the model site for building out other LeapFrog.com websites to support other languages and other products in other countries.
