A content management system (CMS) enables nontechnical users to easily update web site content. It provides a reliable and easy-to-use an production workflow that complements a company's existing processes and applications.
Off-the-shelf content management systems tend to be very expensive and have many unneccessary features. Many open source products are unreliable and hard to use — and the cost of integration can be prohibitive. Carbon Five has integrated many of these solutions and written a few custom ones along the way. Unsatisfied with what we found out there, we decided to build our own.
