The Bendable team came to Carbon Five via our long-running relationship with IDEO, who had completed a deep dive into discovering a new learning platform for the city and community of South Bend, Indiana.
Bendable is a life-long learning system that allows all residence, no matter their background or age, to acquire new skills through online courses as well as through in-person opportunities.
The Bendable team came to Carbon Five via our long-running relationship with IDEO, who had completed a deep dive into discovering a new learning platform for the city and community of South Bend, Indiana.
Working on a blended team with IDEO and Carbon Five designers and product managers, the Carbon Five software engineers began to built out the learner-facing, mobile-first platform. One smart decision was to mock out the editorial workflow using Google Sheets at first, and building the administrative workflow once the kinks in that workflow worked themselves out.
Bendable launches in June, 2020 with planning to extend the platform to additional cities later this year.
