Code of Conduct

Carbon Five is committed to maintaining a harassment-free experience at our sponsored events. We provide a friendly environment that welcomes everyone, regardless of gender, age, disability, physical appearance, race, religion, national origin, sexual orientation or gender identity.

Carbon Five does not tolerate harassment of our staff or guests in any form. To be clear: Racist, sexist (or sexualized) or exclusionary behavior and language are not appropriate at our office at any time for any event.

The purpose of Carbon Five events is to share information and ideas. There is no place for inappropriate comments or behavior. We cannot allow one person’s actions to impact others’ participation.

Presenters and guests who do not follow this policy will be asked to stop immediately or leave the Carbon Five offices. This policy includes the following:

  • Speakers may not include in their presentations content that is illegal, malicious, hostile, salacious, or offensive.
  • Guests may not display sexual images, intimidate, stalk, follow, harass, photograph or record, disrupt talks or other events, have inappropriate physical contact, give unwelcome sexual attention, or otherwise cause conflict or offense.

Keep in mind: Things that are said and done can be harassing, offensive and sometimes even scary to others, even if that’s not the intent. Not all people have the same perceptions and views. If a guest receives feedback that he/she is making someone else uncomfortable, we expect that person to take it seriously. Whether a speaker or attendee, anyone who violates these basic standards will be subject to actions deemed appropriate by Carbon Five.

Guests who feel they are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns should contact a Carbon Five employee immediately. Our staff will be introduced at the start of each event.

Carbon Five is proud to host influential industry events. We offer a friendly and open environment — and we want to keep it that way.
